Me alegra anunciar esta nueva etapa en la historia de Gorillaz con esta publicación. El séptimo álbum de larga duración de la banda británica se publico el 23 de octubre de este año y ya forma parte importante el corazón de los fans.
Este álbum fue complementamente colaborativo, lo que ah muchos fans no lo tomaron del todo bien. Desde mi opinión personal el estilo de Gorillaz se mantenía, la frescura se mantenía allí. No se sintió como un álbum repetitivo (aunque realmente Gorillaz nunca fue así). Lo veo como una oportunidad para descubrir artistas nuevos (ya que el único artista altamente reconocido fue Elton John y ). De todas maneras, hubiera sido agradable mínimo tener una canción totalmente propia; pero no fue un álbum decepcionante.

En una entrevista con Music Week, Albarn expresó que eventualmente habrá una segunda temporada de Song Machine cuando la demanda por parte del público sea suficiente. Así que nos queda seguir apoyando.
